Welcome!

Hi, welcome to the course blog. We'll be using it as a place to share ideas and impressions and to experiment with web 2.0 tools. We will also be using it to keep a record of all the most useful notes, links, activities and  materials we'll be looking at on our course.


Here's a reminder of the aims and objectives of the course:

On this course we will

• explore the underlying teaching principles when using  technology in the classroom
• look at how technology can enhance the learning experience,  both inside and outside the classroom
• experiment with practical lesson ideas based on a variety of different tools and their applications. (e.g. data projectors,  blogs, voice recording tools, interactive whiteboards)

The course will provide you with

• an introduction to the current debate surrounding the use of technology in the classroom
• a list of useful sources and resources to help you learn more (online tutorials, teachers' blogs etc)
• a starting point for creating your own online teaching support network
